Announcing the ShowYourTruth Youth Video Contest

April 22, 2020

SWOVA is thrilled to announce the ShowYourTruth Youth Video Contest! We’re inviting youth in three age categories to send us a video about what matters to them.

We want to hear about issues that youth face, whether it’s bullying, peer pressure, assumptions, body image, self-confidence, being alone, and so on. And, just as importantly, we want to hear about what helps youth to bounce back from these issues.

Submissions must be video recorded, and all genres are eligible (e.g., animation, live action, public service announcement, spoken word, documentary, experimental, music video). This is a chance for youth to have fun and be as creative as possible.

Video submissions will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, May 15, 2020. Videos must be no more than 2 minutes long and must be made in the following age categories:

  • Grades 3–5
  • Grades 6–8
  • Grades 9–12

Want to submit? Get all the details plus the official content rules on the ShowYourTruth Youth Video Contest page.

You Are Worthy, You Are Valuable, You Are Seen… Pass it On

We don’t always know what impact our programs have on people’s lives until later, sometimes much later. We found out on a spring evening in a beautiful barn at Stone Bridge Farm where thirty former participants joined a reunion of our Pass it On Girls program. Kate...
