Our Workshops

Engaging and interactive workshops and presentations on current pressing topics, for your classroom or whole school

Reconnect & Rebuild Healthy Relationships in Your School

Elementary | Middle | Secondary

The Circle Educations now offers engaging and interactive workshops on current pressing topics. Our workshops are suited for classrooms, whole school assemblies as well as staff bodies with the ultimate aim of reconnecting, and rebuilding healthy relationships in schools.

We tackle current topics like consent, boundaries, stress and anxiety, school and classroom agreements, diversity and respectful relationships, in a fun and interactive way. We also offer custom-made sessions related to social-emotional learning, based on your school’s needs.

The Circle Education has been offering in-class social-emotional programming to children and youth in grades 3-8 for over more than twenty years. Recently, we have worked with School District #64 (Gulf Islands), Anti-Violence Society in Barrière B.C., Ladysmith Resource Centre, NIDES (North Island Distance Education School) and Montague Public School in Ontario.

Our facilitator Kate Nash has over twelve years of experience working with youth in-class and in after-school programs. She is passionate about bringing people together, building confidence and empathy in young people, and equipping them with the tools to create a world free of violence.

‘Pender Island School is now a more informed, inclusive and supported place to learn for all students’

“Pender Islands School partnered with the Pender Islands Pride Society and The Circle Education to bring lessons on inclusivity to all grade levels and to create a Gender Sexuality Club (GSA) at the school. These sessions allowed students in younger grades to start their schooling with a heightened recognition of and respect for the importance of diversity and inclusiveness. Moving forward, students in older grades should have greater confidence that they are in a place where diversity in gender and sexuality are seen as an asset to the school and can be expressed freely if they choose to. These sessions included school staff so that adults and students could learn together and the support of LGBTQ+ inclusivity by the larger school community could continue to grow long after the sessions were complete. Thanks to the support from Pender Islands Pride and work with The Circle Education, Pender Islands School is now a more informed, inclusive and supportive place to learn for all students.”
