She Sheds Wanted!

December 3, 2019

In late June 2020, SWOVA is once again hosting a She Shed Tour as its biennial fundraiser.

She Sheds are a woman’s backyard oasis. It’s a space where women create, find sanctuary, or work on a variety of projects, pursuits, hobbies, and so on.

In 2018, SWOVA’s She Shed Tour was an incredible success thanks to the many women who opened their she sheds to the public and thanks to the many people who were curious about the little getaways and looking for inspiration and design and building tips.

We’re specifically looking for spaces that are separate from the house, are new to the tour, and may or may not be commercial studios. We’d like recommendations by the end of December.

If you want to inspire others with your space and help SWOVA in its important work, contact us. We’ll contact you and arrange to come see your She Shed and assess its suitability and accessibility. If you’d like to be part of the organizing team, we’d love to hear from you! Email Coreen at communications[at]swova.org
