Working with Youth Training

August 16, 2023

The Circle Education will be running a ‘Stronger Connections with Youth’ training from September 4-8. Through this course, people working with youth will gain methods and tools to run more than just a program; you can be that “one caring adult” who makes a long-term impact on a child’s life.

In a fun-filled, hands-on set of sessions, participants get a chance to lead a group, design and play games that work, as well as develop leadership skills and strong communication and facilitation techniques that can be used in any group situation.

Participants leave the session with greater confidence and validation of their skills to ensure that they can connect with youth of all ages and experiences.

The ‘Stronger Connections with Youth’ training is a 12.5-hour course that will be facilitated at The Circle Education on Salt Spring Island. This training is open to youth as well (aged 16 and up) with the potential for future work running summer camps and programs during the school holidays.

Our facilitator Kate Nash has over twelve years of experience working with youth in class and after-school programs. She is passionate about bringing people together and building confidence and empathy in youth.

When: Monday September 4th – Friday September 8th (7.00-9.30pm)

Where: The Circle Education, 100-125b Rainbow Road

Costs:  $300 (youth 16-20 $150)

Members of the Circle Education get a 20% discount on our courses.
